Waiting to Forget, is an amazing eye-opening book. Told from the point of view of 12 year-old T.J, it follows the story of his life, in the form of his memories. It shows just how hard life can be for children and what they may have to go through. This book is suitable for people of all ages, and will affect not only your mind, but your heart as well.

T.J has to deal with his Momma, leaving him and his younger sister, of four years, Angela alone while she goes out to work, or out with a man, from the tender age of 5. Throughout this book, you see T.J have to watch his Momma lie and cheat men out of money, all to survive without having to work. And when she does occasionally have a job, she leaves them home alone to defend herself.

With a string of broken relationships, one with a thief named Billy, Momma is always putting herself first, and T.J and Angela last.

This story is truely eye-opening to what really can happen behind closed doors, and that if you have a little trust and faith that everything just might work out.
