Jus Accardo is the author of Touch and Untouched (both part of the Denazen series!) - Today she stops by to have a chat with us!
Describe your Denazen series in 3
words!
Fun, romantic, and action-packed.
Definitely three of my favourite words! What inspired your series?
It was really nothing in
particular. I’ve always loved stories like this one, and I guess you just
gravitate to what you know. I’ve been reading paranormal for a long, long time.
It was like coming home. I got the idea and poof. Off I went!
Did you know what the series was
going to be about from the start?
Not at all. I’m a pantster. I can’t
plot for crap. I sat down one day and started writing with nothing more than
two characters in mind. The rest came out as I went.
Who would your dream movie cast be
for your book?
Dez would totally be Avril Lavigne.
When writing the book, I saw Kale as a young Ben Barnes, but now, the guy on
the cover totally has me hooked. Whoever he is, he’s my Kale. The rest of the
characters I never gave much thought to. Someone actually mentioned Pierce
Brosnan this morning for Marshal. I think that would actually be cool. And
then, of course, Ginger is totally Betty White!
Any secret’s you want to share
about Untouched? Or Toxic even? ;)
*whistles innocently*
In UNTOUCHED, we get a peek into
Kale’s mind. Yes, he’s innocent, but he’s not pure as snow. All those years at
Denazen left their mark. He’s got a darker side and the thing he’s most afraid
of is Dez getting a peek at it...
Future books in the works?
I have another series coming out
with Entangled in 2013. I can’t say much out it except it has a truly kick-ass
heroine, a hot hero with awesome tats, and a very special dog.
Other than that, I have a few super
secret projects I’m playing with at the moment :D
Now you have us all intrigued! Keeping an eye out!
Random Questions!
Hobbies?
Anything outdoorsy, World of
Warcraft, cooking.
Special Writing Habits?
Lots of coffee and bare feet!
(socks are acceptable)
Favourite Book (Apart from your own
of course!)
ACK! No way to pick just one. I
love anything by Rob Thurman, Darynda Jones, Rachel Vincent, Kelley
Armstrong... I could literally go on and on and on and on...
Thank you so much for stopping by today, it was great chatting with you!
Touch, the first novel in the Denazen series, is set to re-release in mass market on June 26th (Complete with additional scenes from Kale’s POV!). You can pre-order your copy here

Touch - Jus Accardo
When a strange boy tumbles down a river embankment and lands at her feet, seventeen-year-old adrenaline junkie Deznee Cross snatches the opportunity to piss off her father by bringing the mysterious hottie with ice blue eyes home.
Except there’s something off with Kale. He wears her shoes in the shower, is overly fascinated with things like DVDs and vases, and acts like she’ll turn to dust if he touches her. It’s not until Dez’s father shows up, wielding a gun and knowing more about Kale than he should, that Dez realizes there’s more to this boy—and her father’s “law firm”—than she realized.
Kale has been a prisoner of Denazen Corporation—an organization devoted to collecting “special” kids known as Sixes and using them as weapons—his entire life. And, oh yeah, his touch? It kills. The two team up with a group of rogue Sixes hellbent on taking down Denazen before they’re caught and her father discovers the biggest secret of all. A secret Dez has spent her life keeping safe.
A secret Kale will kill to protect.
