Inbetween -
Tara Fuller
Released: August 28 2012
Publisher: Entangled Teen

Synopsis: "Since the car crash that took her father’s life three years ago, Emma’s life has been a freaky — and unending — lesson in caution. Surviving “accidents” has taken priority over being a normal seventeen-year-old, so Emma spends her days taking pictures of life instead of living it. Falling in love with a boy was never part of the plan. Falling for a reaper who makes her chest ache and her head spin? Not an option.

It’s not easy being dead, especially for a reaper in love with a girl fate has put on his list not once, but twice. Finn’s fellow reapers give him hell about spending time with Emma, but Finn couldn’t let her die before, and he’s not about to let her die now. He will protect the girl he loves from the evil he accidentally unleashed, even if it means sacrificing the only thing he has left…his soul.

What it's about: A reaper has to deal with consequences of decisions past made, becoming a protector of the girl he loves. This girl, has to deal with the news that she isn't crazy, that she is falling in love with a dead guy and there is an evil spirit out to get her.

What I thought: Reapers. I am loving all these books based around Reapers that are coming out of the wood works, yes this one was something else. Finn the reaper falls in love with Allison the dead girl spirit, who is stuck in the Inbetween. When Allison gets a 'second chance at life', Finn finds himself drawn to Emma - the reincarnation of Allison. This love that Finn has for Emma completely stole my heart. What he goes through to protect her and be with her is so fantastic! (Yes, sorry. I'll stop getting mushy now!) This story was written beautifully and while I got mushy most of the time while reading, there were parts were plenty of serious parts as well. I felt myself rooting for Team Finn and Emma, drawn into their tale of love, despair and peril. While the supporting characters were all well written, none of them captured my attention as much as Finn and Emma. Get your hands on a copy of this book because I guarantee everyone will be talking about it soon. Bring on book 2, I say!

the good: I loved the fact that this book was written from both Finn and Emma's point of views. It definitely gave the book something more, getting to see things from both sides. The ending - WHAT A GREAT WAY TO END THIS BOOK! I really did love how Tara Fuller did this!

the bad: At some points, I felt like the story line was dragging, and yet felt other points could have been drawn out a bit more. [Spoiler -  Also, Finn stealing Cash's body and Emma making out with Cash/Finn, is totally weird.]
