Synopsis: "On the precipice of her sixteenth birthday, the last thing lone wolf Cat Crawford wants is an extravagant gala thrown by her bubbly stepmother and well-meaning father. So even though Cat knows the family’s trip to Florence, Italy, is a peace offering, she embraces the magical city and all it offers. But when her curiosity leads her to an unusual gypsy tent, she exits . . . right into Renaissance Firenze.
Thrust into the sixteenth century armed with only a backpack full of contraband future items, Cat joins up with her ancestors, the sweet Alessandra and protective Cipriano, and soon falls for the gorgeous aspiring artist Lorenzo. But when the much-older Niccolo starts sniffing around, Cat realizes that an unwanted birthday party is nothing compared to an unwanted suitor full of creeptastic amore.
Can she find her way back to modern times before her Italian adventure turns into an Italian forever?

What I thought: Yes yes yes! Firstly, I love Historical fiction so much! I love anything to do with History so of course I was going to love this from the start! What I loved was the fact that this was a time travel book and Cat wasn't constantly talking as if she really were in the Renaissance period, it gave it a fun twist to it! This book was also hilarious! Some of the lines really made me giggle as I imagined the whole interaction going on. Cat is a fantastic character, I loved that she wasn't a normal teenage girl. Alessandra, Cipriano and Lorenzo, also all amazing characters, all so wonderfully written! Also, you need to be warned about the major swoon-worthy Lorenzo. He stole my heart! I am bursting at the seams, wanting to tell you all the details of this whole book, but that wouldn't be fair (obviously!) so hurry and pick yourself up a copy so we can all share thoughts :D
the good: ALL OF IT PEOPLE! I can't just mention one thing *Cough* Lorenzo *Cough* so just grab a copy and see for yourself!
the bad: It had to end, didn't it?!
