What it's about: A teenage girl has trouble getting over the heartbreak of being dumped, and uses her experience to start her own business of getting other teenage girls over their own heartache.

What I thought: This was such a cute young adult chick lit book! It made me laugh, it made me cringe, it made me want to slap some of the girls, but overall, it won my attention and my heart.

the good: This concept that McLaughlin and Kraus have created, this business, Ex Inc, is such an awesome idea, I wish it were real! When I started reading, the story-line reminded me of the movie Hitch (with Will Smith), except instead of hooking people up, she is getting people over them, step-by-step. Max has this full program, and she is seriously creative in so many parts of the book. Plus of course, she has an awesome gay best friend and falls for the "cute next door" type of guy (At least that's what he seemed like to me!). The characters, along with the plot make for a hilarious read.

the bad: At a few points in the story, I was a bit skeptical at certain things. She just happens to have a huge bunch of connections for things? Hrmm. You may notice them, you may not. Also, could you be a little more pathetic Max? I think not. Get a backbone and take your own advice.
