Paranormal Fiction -

Denoting events or phenomena such as telekinesis or clairvoyance that are beyond the scope of normal scientific understanding.

Paranormal fiction is such a popular genre, and why not? It's fantastic to read about vampires, werewolves and the like. For me, I like to believe that they are real when I'm immersed in a story. I'm going to tell you my favourite paranormal novels for this post :)

Vampires!

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead is my favourite vampire book. When people say Vampires, majority of people will either think of Twilight or True Blood. Don't get me wrong, I love both of them, but for me it's Vampire Academy that introduced my love for the world of paranormal. Of course, I'm including Bloodlines too.

Shout out to Blue Bloods by Melissa de la Cruz and The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa.

Vampire books I need to sink my fangs into: Glass Houses by Rachel Caine and Marked by P.C. Cast.

Werewolves!

To be honest, I haven't read a lot of books that revolve mainly around werewolves, so I didn't have a lot to pick from! But my favourite would have to be Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater!

Shout out for Claire de Lune by Christine Johnson!

Werewolf books I need to read on the full-moon: Nightshade by Andrea Cremer and The Dark Divine by Bree Despain!.

Fairies/Faeries/Fae!

The only book that I've read that revolves only around fairies is The Lost Prince by Julie Kagawa. I know, I need to read more!

Fairy books to add to my TBR list: The Iron King by Julia Kagawa, Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr and Lament by Maggie Stiefvater.

Angels!

Now, this is a paranormal category I've read a lot of! I'm not sure if I can pick a favourite, but I really love Unearthly by Cynthia Hand and Mercy by Rebecca Lim!

Shout out for Fallen by Lauren Kate, Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick and Halo by Alexandra Adornetto.

Don't think I need to be adding any more to my list, but I do have Embrace by Jessica Shirvington and Angelfire by Courtney Allison Moulton on my shelf.

All-around Paranormal!

The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare would have to be my favourite. Paranormalcy by Kiersten White would be second! I love books that include all elements!

Of course, I haven't listed other paranormal beings such as Demons, Witches, Ghosts, Mermaids and Zombies - but that's because I just haven't read a lot of them. I need to get into them a bit more!

What paranormal books would you recommend for me to read?

Thanks for stopping by today and make sure you stop by again tomorrow for my "Q" post!
