What it's about: Audrey is a normal girl with amazing hacking and programming skills - so when the opportunity arises to create a mobile app, for the chance to win $200,000, she takes a chance. She creates The Boyfriend App. So BFA can get you a guy - but is he really the right one?
What I thought: The Boyfriend App is a fun, quirky, hilarious read with some heart-breaking emotion thrown into the mix. You have to love Audrey, with her popular past and her wounded spirit. Audrey was given a wonderful cast of support characters - her fashionista cousin, the Indian boy who dresses like Michael Jackson, the quiet girl with the speech defect and of course Aiden, the good-looking geek boy. This story is fast paced and I couldn't wait to see how it was going to end - especially with all the surprises that Katie Sise keeps throwing at you. If you want something light and fun, then this is the book to read!
I particularly loved the scene at the Danny Beaton concert - the whole book was worth reading for that one scene!

The Good: I love how Katie Sise explains all the hacking/programming terms, and doesn't make you feel stupid for not knowing. Now I'm super interested in programming and codes.... :)
The Bad: The sudden change into BFA 2.0 really confused me, and I found myself thinking how ridiculous the turn was. Also, I wished there was more about Xander - like why did he really coming ask for tutoring? That for me was left way too open.
