Through the Zombie Glass -
Gena Showalter
Released: October 1, 2013
Publisher: Harlequin Aust

Synopsis: Inspired by the childhood classic Alice in Wonderland, this harrowing and romantic story features teen zombie slayer Alice Bell who has lost so much—family, friends, her home. After a strange new zombie attack, Alice fears she may be losing her mind as well. A terrible darkness blooms inside her, urging her to do wicked things. The whispers of the dead assault her ears and mirrors seem to come frighteningly to life. She’s never needed her team of zombie slayers more—including her boyfriend, Cole—than she does now. But as Cole strangely withdraws and the zombies gain new strength, Ali knows one false step may doom them all.

What I thought: Eeeeeeek. I have been so excited for this sequel and once it finally arrived, I dropped everything so I could delve straight into it and man oh man, it was freaking amazing. We pick back up not too long after we left off in Alice In Zombieland - Ali is still recovering. But there are some new slayers in town and they are set to shake things up. There's Gavin, the gorgeous he-slut that Alice has visions with and Veronica, another one of Cole's ex's. This time around, Ali finds herself in another unfortunate situation which starts a catalyst of events for the whole book. Oh and of course, Cole goes back to being broody/moody, which puts extra strain on the whole situation. Of course, there are plenty of zombies to fight and the Hazmat's to hide from, but it still feels like something fresh rather than repeats of the same things we read in the first story.

Gena Showalter certainly showed us her amazing writing skills by giving us a sequel which, in my opinion, was equally as awesome as the first one! I mean, I could barely put it down! Plus we get more Cole in our lives so that makes everything all better. If you loved Alice in Zombieland then you are most certainly going to love Through the Zombie Glass as well! If you haven't read AiZ yet, then hop to it right now and while you're at it, buy this one too so you don't have to waste any time!

The Good: This book has so many ups and downs and it is just so freaking badass.

The Bad: Yet another year wait for the third book? ARRRRGH.
