"You're going to hate me forever when you learn my secret."
Seventeen-year-old stoner Aaron Foster was offered a choice: go to jail or turn undercover narc to find the dealer who's funneling drugs into Miami's Palm Hammock High School. But Aaron has never been good at getting close to people. He's human wallpaper, a stoner wastecase who's obsessed with video games and street magic.
With a cop from Narcotics breathing down his neck, Aaron gets himself invited to parties where the deals go down. To get close to the school's biggest players, Aaron lies to everyone--most of all, the cute but troubled Morgan Baskin. With the Everglades party on Halloween night--and a planned drug bust there--just days away, Aaron realizes that he's falling hard for Morgan . . . and trying to protect her could cost him everything."
Narc is a story about the choices we make and the consequences that come with those choices. Aaron made a choice to run a red light which caused him to get pulled over by the police. This in turn caused his sister to be caught possessing weed. Which in turn, came with another consequence - Aaron becoming an informant for the Miami Narcotic team. This novel profoundly shows that every action has a reaction and what that reaction is depends all on your decision.
Aaron is a coward and a terrible liar. Not the best mix for a Narc. He manages to weasel his way into the "cool druggy" crowd and of course he falls for Morgan, the girl who seems to be a major connection to it all. But what will he do? He want's to protect Morgan and Skully, but the repercussions could be worse. So now he has another choice to make - Give his new friends over to the police or protect them and put himself in jail.
The only thing that I didn't enjoy was the ending. It felt too forced too quickly. This story was eloquent and engaging - it had me considering all the things that go on behind closed doors.
Pre-order Narc now and take a peek into Aaron's world!
