Welcome to the A-Z Blogging Challenge!

Today's topic is:

- Kick-ass characters -

I always love a good character that is awesome at kicking butt. Or are just generally kick-ass. So here are some of my favourite kick-ass characters!

Rose Hathaway from Vampire Academy. Really, did you expect anything less? She was probably the first character I read like her, and it's stuck with me ever since. Shout-out to Dimitri Belikov and Sydney Sage.

Jace Wayland from The Mortal Instruments. Yep, I think this is also self-explanatory. He defines butt-kickery. Sure, I could have picked any of the other characters, but Jace really does it best.

Tessa Gray from The Infernal Devices. Since it's another series, I'm going for it. This time, I think the womanly side of things deserves recognition. Tessa had so much thrown at her over the course of the three books, and she took it all in her stride, mostly. Of course, props to Will and Jem.

And of course, Katniss Everdeen. Because who else volunteers for The Hunger Games, and wins? Aside from those trained in Districts 1&2 of course, but they're all cray cray.

Runner ups:

Valek and Yelena from Poison Study, Avery and Kerrick from Touch of Power, Taylor and Jonah from Jellicoe Road and the Merrick brothers from Storm/Spark.

Thanks for stopping by and make sure to stop back tomorrow for my "L" post!

  1. I like that you do book reviews, and I will definitely be coming back to see what you write about tomorrow.

  2. Oh I loved Rose. She's the only one of those characters I've read. I do have the Mortal Instruments on my tbr list though :) It is always fun to find a character (especially a heroine) that really does kick some butt and take names.
