A Million Suns - Beth Revis

"In book two of the Across the Universe trilogy, "New York Times"-bestselling author Revis mesmerizes readers again with a brilliantly crafted mystery filled with action, suspense, romance, and deep philosophical questions. And this time it all builds to one mind-bending conclusion: They have to get off this ship."

If you haven't read Across the Universe yet, I suggest you don't read this review!!

A book set entirely on a space ship. She did it once and she has done it again. How does Beth Revis make this book so damn interesting?! In Across the Universe we met Amy and Elder. In A Million Suns, we see how they deal with life on the ship without Eldest and more importantly, without Phydus.

Orion has left Amy clues to learn more about the ship, and the truth that almost got him killed by Eldest. Elder is trying to deal with being the leader of the ship, he didn't realise it would be so hard after taking them off Phydus. Rebellions are starting. People are not working. To top it all off, someone is murdering people. But this does not stop Elder from trying to keep the peace, and getting the ship back on track.

Amy, with some of Elder's help, is following Orion's clues, trying to figure out what is so important. And boy is it important. Turns out the ship isn't behind. It has already arrived. Now the race is on to figure out how to land, and who is trying to sabotage them. All this amongst Amy still trying to live with the people who call her a freak.

Across the Universe made me wonder what it would be like to live like Amy on the space ship. A Million Suns made me see what it would be like to be Elder, leader of space ship. Both books utterly exciting, A Million Suns was a sequel that kept you wanting more. Waiting until 2013 for Shades of Earth is going to kill me!
