Books to Movie Giveaway Hop!



The winner will get to pick a book that is either being made into a movie or has already been turned into a movie, with a limit up to $15. Ends September 17th.

Here are a few suggestions to get you thinking!




Giveaway is International - as long as The Book Depository ships to your country so please check! :)

    I haven't really thought about my favourite book-to-movie adaptation, but the one that is coming to mind right now is the 2007 version of Persuasion. But I may be totally biased because of Rupert Penry-Jones . . . ;-)

  24. I loved the movies for Stardust, Narnia, and Golden Compass...but I haven't read any of those books. Most of the time I've either read the book OR seen the movie. The only ones up there I've done both are Eragon and Hunger Games. Eragon's movie was horrifically butchered, but HG was fabulous! So I suppose that one is my fave :)

  40. I love the LOTR books and movies more than anything, but I don't think it was the best book to movie transition. Too many characters were changed (Faramir!) and added scenes. In terms of book to movie adaptation, the first Chronicles of Narnia movie was hands down the best.

  48. I love when a bok is turned to a movie- I feel like I have a special connection with it that other people don't have...Weird, I know. I loved the Time Traveler's Wife, Harry Potter and Hunger Games, and yes...I don't care what anyone says, I loved seeing Edward and Bella come to life:)

  75. I loved the adaptations of Hornby's HIGH FIDELITY and FEVER PITCH--the geographic changes were done in the spirit of the books, and just showed how universal the stories were.
