Welcome to the A-Z Blogging Challenge!

Today's topic is:

- Author's I'm in love with! -

Yes, that's right folks. Today I am going to tell you all about the author's that I am in love with, and why I guess!

* * *

Once upon a time, there was a fourteen year-old girl named Claire. She wasn't an overly huge reader, but one day by accident, she came across a book called 'Looking for Alibrandi' - the book that would ignite a love for books and reading so fierce, and change her life forever.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is why Melina Marchetta is at the top of my author love list. After Looking for Alibrandi rocked my world, I continued to read every single one of her books - and love them all as much as each other, although I loved On The Jellicoe Road more than any other book I've read, and that's why to this day it is still my all time favourite book.

Markus Zusak is second on my list. Most of you probably know Markus from his book, The Book Thief. Yes, this book is amazing, and is second on my all-time favourite's list, but that wasn't the one that started this love affair - I have The Messenger to thank for that. Randomly grabbing The Messenger at an airport newsagent was a decision I will never regret, nor forget.

Lastly, there is Maria V. Snyder. I have read every single one of her books, and I can't even describe how much love I feel for each novel. Picking up Poison Study at K-mart because it of it's cool cover turned out to be a fantastic decision, so that's why to this day, I still buy a lot of books based purely on their covers.

Thanks for stopping by, and come back tomorrow for my "B" post!

  1. Here for a-z. I guess I would hard pressed to name a favorite. I read so little, but like Debbie Macromber...because like her, I'm a knitter. I like books that are no brainers for poolside and or the beach. Seems the only time I actually enjoy reading is while on vacation. I love to read blogs and read lots ...but it's probably the interaction that makes the difference.

  2. I love Maria V. Snyder's books! She is an amazing author. I really liked Insiders Series, and her new Healer's series. And I give into books based off their cover, too. I know I shouldn't, but I cant' seem to help myself.
